Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Specter AI ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Tattva Mind("we," "us," or "our").

2. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Tattva Mind grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and install Specter on devices you own or control
• Use Specter for your personal interview preparation and interview assistance

This license is for personal use only. You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, assign, or otherwise commercially exploit Specter or this license. You may not use Specter to provide interview assistance services to third parties for compensation without prior written consent from Tattva Mind.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Specter to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Assist in obtaining employment through fraudulent misrepresentation (e.g., impersonating another person during an interview)
• Use in violation of the explicit written policies of an interviewing company that prohibit AI assistance in a context where you have agreed to those policies
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices in the App
• Use the App to develop a competing product or service
• Distribute malware, conduct phishing, or use the App for any harmful or illegal purpose

Ethical use note: We encourage users to review the specific policies of each company they interview with and to use Specter in a manner consistent with their own professional values. Specter is designed as a preparation and performance tool — how you use it is your responsibility.

4. AI Output Disclaimer

Specter uses third-party large language model (LLM) APIs to generate interview answers. These AI-generated outputs:

• May contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
• Do not constitute professional advice of any kind
• Should be verified independently before being relied upon
• May reflect biases or limitations inherent in the underlying LLM models, which are not under our control

You are solely responsible for evaluating, verifying, and deciding whether to use any AI-generated content. Tattva Mind is not responsible for any employment decisions, interview outcomes, or consequences arising from your use of AI-generated answers.

No warranty on interview outcomes: Using Specter does not guarantee any specific interview result. Employment decisions are made by the hiring organization based on many factors beyond the scope of interview answers.

5. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) Responsibility

When you configure your own API keys in Specter (BYOK), you are solely responsible for:

• Compliance with the terms of service of the API provider (Google, OpenAI, Anthropic)
• All API usage costs incurred through your keys
• Ensuring your API keys remain confidential and are not shared
• Promptly revoking compromised keys through your provider's dashboard

Tattva Mind is not responsible for unauthorized API usage, API cost overruns, or any consequences of API key compromise.

6. Pro Plan Billing

The Specter Pro plan is a subscription service billed monthly or annually. By subscribing, you authorize Tattva Mind to charge your payment method at the rates listed at the time of subscription.

• Free trial: A limited free trial (3 sessions, restricted features) is available with no credit card required. Paid plans begin immediately upon subscription.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial periods.
• API credits: Bundled API credits reset on your billing date and do not roll over. Unused credits are forfeited at the end of each billing cycle.
• Price changes:We will provide 30 days' notice of price changes via email to the address on your account.

7. Intellectual Property

Specter AI, including its source code, design, branding, and all associated content, is owned by Tattva Mind and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

"Specter," "Specter AI," and "Tattva Mind" are trademarks of Tattva Mind. You may not use these marks without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TATTVA MIND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TATTVA MIND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Termination

Tattva Mind reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to Specter at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

12. Changes to Terms

Tattva Mind may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be announced via app notification and email (for Pro subscribers). Continued use of Specter after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance.
