Get set up in 3 steps
Install Specter
Download the package for your OS and run it. macOS: drag to Applications. Windows: run the installer. Linux: make AppImage executable with chmod +x.
Configure Your API Key
Open Specter → Settings → API Keys. Paste your Gemini, OpenAI, or Claude API key. Gemini offers a free tier — no credit card needed. Setup takes under 60 seconds.
Launch Before Your Interview
Start a Specter session, choose your interview role, and enable Race Mode if you have two API keys. Specter runs in the background, invisible and ready, until you end the session.
